 Copal is a resin that comes from South America and especially from Mexico,
 It resembles in shape the frankincense and therefore some attribute it as a member of the frankincense family or a disorder.
 In the Indus tribes it was common to use copal resin for incense.
 Some attribute to Kopel resin the power to strengthen the internal energy and spiritual purification.
 It is not clear if there is any basis for these things, and there are no referents for the use of this resin in Judaism.
